Monday 

God's Peace is available to us.

~

The Shoes of Peace  

are part of

The Whole Armor of God

found in Ephesians 6:10-18.

Our Shoes of Peace are also called:

The Shoes of Readiness

and

The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace.

- - -

Our shoes speak of many things
that are important.

For Example:

Being ready to go where God directs

Standing firm on Bible principles

Being right with God and at peace with God

Following Jesus closely

Feeling the peace of obedience and yielding to God

and

Taking the Good News of Jesus to our friends

~ ~ ~

FEELING peaceful
is in the list above, and it is one of the examples
that most of us deeply desire.

A large part of this page addresses
feeling peaceful.

I encourage all Christians

to put on the

Full Armor of God

every day!

Full Armor of God Prayer

Father God,

Thank you for my Powerful Armor. I will enthusiastically put it on this day!

I put on the Helmet of Salvation.

Lord, you and your Word are my Salvation.

I praise you and magnify your name!

I put on the Belt of Truth.

Thank you for your Truth.

I need your truth to guide me this day.

I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.

Thank you for allowing me to wear the Righteousness of Christ.

To honor you, I will seek to think right thoughts and make right choices today.

I put on the Shoes of Peace.

Thank you for your Shoes of Peace.

I want your peace to surround me and uplift me this day.

I pick up the Shield of Faith.

Thank you for your Shield.

I pick up the assurance that your Word is true, and I can stand on it!

I pick up the Sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.

Thank you for your Word.

I pick up the POWER that you have placed in your Word.

I will speak out your POWER, and I will experience newness of life.

I am now dressed and ready to move mightily through this day.

I will be a Faithful, Freshly – Focused Follower of Jesus Christ!

Amen!

Peacefulness

A few days ago, I decided to take a walk at sunset.

As I walked down my street, I encouraged myself to soak - in the pinks and blues of the sky. Their swirling patterns made the sky look so soft and peaceful.

I thought about the fact that God wants my relationship with him to have lots of times of softness and peacefulness.

He doesn’t want me to find time for him only when I have urgent requests.

He wants me to be drawn to him with quiet moments of softness and peace.

He wants to wash me with his tenderness, gentleness, and peace. He wants this divine sweetness to flow over me and through me.

He wants it to become part of who I am.

Wednesday 

Jesus told us in John 14:27

that he wants Believers to have his Divine Peace. 

~ ~

God wants us to enjoy a deep feeling of peace.

Peacefulness Prayer

Dear Lord,

I pray for more of your peace.

I come before you to ask for peace.

I come before you to meditate on your peace.

Your peace is...

Comforting...

Soothing...

Calming...

Relaxing...

And

Refreshing...

Help me to receive more of your peace.

Help me to receive more peace this day, this week, this month, and this year.

Amen

Thursday 

Wearing the Shoes of Peace

A True Story

A single middle-aged woman was walking down the main hall of a massive Baptist church.

As she was making her way to her Sunday school class, she was thinking about how thankful she was for her beloved class. She loved the amazing lessons and the wonderful people.

She made her way up the flight of stairs to the second floor and happily entered the classroom.  She quickly began chatting with friends. The conversations continued until they realized that their teacher was walking toward the podium.

The woman quickly found a seat. Just as class was starting, a handsome man slipped into the empty chair next to her. His right foot tapped her left foot as he settled in his place. If he had not been so much younger than she was, she would have concluded that he was flirting with her.

The lesson was a riveting one, and the time flew.

After class, the man next to her began a conversation with her.

They talked long after the others had left.

As the conversation began to wind down, the man said something that astonished the woman.

“I saw you walking down the main hall before class. You were walking toward me, and you had a peace about you that was so deep and so compelling that it drew me to you. Honestly, there were a lot of pretty women walking down the hall, but you were the only one who had that amazing peace. That is a very rare quality.”

Folks –

God wants us to possess an amazing peace

that comes forth from us

and draws people toward us.

- -

That kind of peace will bless our family and friends.

- -

And that kind of peace will draw the attention of people
who are not saved
or who are backslidden.

Our Shoes of Peace are also called:

The Shoes of Readiness

and

The Shoes of the Gospel of Peace.

In the fullness of the meaning of

- The Shoes of Peace -

we see that the meaning includes the idea of

Bringing the Gospel of Jesus Christ to people.

~ ~

When we possess a deep peace,

it stirs the curiosity of those who are not right with God.

That opens doors of opportunity for us to share our faith.

Jesus said, “My peace I give to you.”
John 14:27

Jesus gives me his peace.

I need to learn how to receive it fully.

Shoes of Peace Prayer

Dear Lord,

I need more of your peace operating in my life.

I want to receive your peace more fully this day and every day.

I want a deeper peace that will bless and encourage my family and friends.

I want a deeper peace that will draw people to you.

Help me to learn how to yield to you and receive your peace more fully.

In Jesus' name I pray,

Amen

Friday 

Perfect Peace has a name -

Jesus

          As I have lived and loved Jesus for years,

I have realized that I don't JUST want

  the mind of Christ,

I also want the emotions of Christ.

~ ~ ~

When life becomes
frustrating, confusing, and upsetting -
one verse that calms me is:

Be Still and Know that I am God.
Psalm 46:10

As the Lord guides my mind to the implications of that verse, I think about my All-POWERFUL Heavenly Father and his continuous love and guidance in my life.

HE is able to take care of me - even if I need a miracle.

As I think about that......

Soon my mind stops racing, my breathing slows, my body becomes calm, and I feel safer and more peaceful.

The Calmness and Steadiness of God's Peace

With my Armor Shoes of God, I will more and more:

Feel the Peace

Live in the Peace

and Enjoy the Peace of God.

I feel my peace deepen.

could only come through

knowing Him and obeying Him.

With Deep Peace there is Deep Trust in God.
