Scroll all the way down

to see all the great information.

God teaches us that there is only one God.

God is:

God the Father

God the Son

God the Holy Spirit

There is nothing on earth that truly gives us

a picture of this concept.

I found some videos on Youtube that are helpful in

understanding the Trinity.

~

The first video is directed at helping us

to explain the Trinity

to our children.

Deuteronomy 6:4 KJV

says

Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord.

The word "one" in Hebrew is Echad.

That same Hebrew word is also used in Genesis 2:24.

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife:
and they shall be one flesh.

Genesis 2:24 KJV

In these verses, "One"

means a compound unity.

The next video is also helpful in explaining

the Trinity to our older children and teens.

The following is

The Trinity Part 1.

The next video is

The Trinity Part 2.

The next video is also helpful in

giving us

Scriptural proof

God is omnipresent - God is everywhere.

God is omniscient - God knows everything.

God is omnipotent - God is all powerful.

Bible verses that show the Trinity

Here are a few of the verses in the Bible that show us the Trinity

NKJV

Genesis 1:26  "Let Us make man in Our image."

Proverbs 30:4b  "What is His name, and what is His Son's name, If you know?

Matthew 3:16  "When He [Jesus] had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him, And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, 'This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.'"

Matthew 28:19 Jesus said:

"'Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.' Amen."

1 John 5:7  "For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one."

Jesus is sometimes called

"The Word" or "The Word of God."

This is not totally clear. It is one of the mysteries of God.

Below is a verse about Jesus:

John 1:1 says:

"In the beginning was the Word

and the

Word was with God and the Word was 'God.'

He was in the beginning with God."

The Daniel 7 part near the end is very interesting. I have only watched this one video by this man.

Explaining to children
that Jesus IS God

Children do not naturally understand that

Jesus IS God.

It helps children, if we explain to them that when people say the word "God" they are usually referring to Father God. Yet, Jesus is as much God as Father God.

It is hard for children and adults to understand the Trinity.

I explain to children that Jesus is called the "Son of God" because he is generally in the role of a son - doing what the Father asks. But The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are each co-equal, co-eternal, and co-powerful and each of them is fully God.

When Jesus came to earth, he was 100% fully God and 100% fully man.

Jesus did have to lay down some of his divinity in order to come to earth. For example, on earth he was in an earthly body and therefore, he could not be everywhere at once.

Before Jesus came to earth as a baby, he was everywhere at once.

God is omnipresent which means "he is everywhere at once."

So God the Father is omnipresent.

Jesus is omnipresent.

The Holy Spirit is omnipresent.

God is one, yet he is three persons or personalities. There is nothing else in the world like God.

The Trinity works together as ONE, and they are actually ONE.

So we can tell children that The Trinity is a mystery that we do not totally understand.
