Prayer

For those lovely ladies

who are dealing with the pain of having an abortion.

Loving and Forgiving Lord,

I pray your heart.

I pray your desires.

I pray your will.

Bring comfort to the pain of all these precious ladies.

Bring healing to their woundedness.

Bring new hope to their thoughts.

Bring strength and support to their daily walk.

Help these precious ladies - young and old - to run into your outstretched loving arms.

Remind them that you want to comfort them and forgive them if they will but ask you.

Help each one to see the open doors of newness that you have for her life.

In the healing name of Jesus, I pray,

A woman can try to run

but she can never hide from the finality

and the harshness of a decision to abort.

Women need love from friends

and healing

from the Loving Lord of All.

Dear God,

I have had an abortion.

I have killed my unborn child*.

I am so sorry.

Please forgive me.

Please cleanse me from this sin.

Forgiveness

is an essential part of healing from abortion.

Emotional pain after an abortion
is often manifested
as anger towards those who have encouraged
the abortion.

Anger can keep you from feeling the natural feelings of grief and sorrow.

It is easy to blame others
instead of forgiving them and forgiving yourself.

a woman discovers the eternal love

that is planted inside her 

for each child that has been inside her.

doesn't go away.

First Prayer
for those contemplating abortion

Lord of everlasting love,

I pray your heart.

I pray your desires.

I pray your will.

I pray your prayers on behalf of unborn children.

I pray your prayers on behalf of hurting pregnant women.

Lord, to those hurting women who are considering an abortion:

Bring tenderness to their hearts.

Bring truth and answers to their questions.

Bring possibilities to their thoughts.

Bring hope and healing to their emotions.

Bring strength and support to their daily walk.

Lord, wrap your loving arms around pregnant mothers who are feeling scared and confused and desperate.

Reveal your will to them.

Guide them toward the loving thing to do.

Help these precious ladies - young and old - to make the right decision - the one they will be at peace with in years to come.

Help each one to see the open door you have for them.

Second Prayer
for those contemplating abortion

Dear Lord,

I pray for frightened, pregnant women.

May they feel your arms of love wrapping around them and comforting them.

Whisper warm words of faith in you and hope for their future.

Remind them that every child deserves a chance at life.

Share with them that abortion is a decision that can haunt and echo pain throughout the corridors of time.

Bring strength and support to each one.

In Jesus' name I pray,

Abortion Prayer for everyone to pray

Prayer Points for us all

For those who have and have not had an abortion.

Merciful God,

Forgive me for the times that I have been apathetic toward the ongoing abortion crisis in our country. 

Over 57 million children never experienced life because of abortion.

Lord, forgive me for any way that I have worked against pro-life causes.

Lord, forgive me for every time and every way  that I encouraged the act of abortion.

Prepare me and equip me to extend love to those who have been hurt by abortion.

In Jesus’ name I pray,
