Topic for this week:
Developing
a deep
LOVE
for God's Word

Psalm 119
Scriptures
will help us to learn to LOVE God's Word.
~ ~ ~
One reason God put Psalm 119 in our Bible
is to
help us develop a deep love for His Bible Scriptures.

Faith comes by
hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
Deeper Love for the Bible also comes by
hearing.
So
on this page,
I will encourage you to
speak these Scriptures out - loud.

God wants us
to deeply love HIS word.

As we read God's Word with a teachable heart,
we will
renew our mind
and
grow
to deeply
LOVE
God's Word.

This page highlights
what God tells
us to say
about his Word.

The author of Psalm 119 loves God's Word.
And he can help us
to stir up
LOVE
for
God's Word.
-
Let's Stir!
Let's stir ourselves up
with
the words of
Psalm 119.

Psalm 119 inspires us
to say
with the psalmist
that....
we love and treasure God's Word.

Take Note:
In Bible times,
the psalms were put to music -
and sung often.
The Psalms are meant to be said or sung often.
As we repeat the Words of God,
our mind becomes
renewed
and
our desires begin to line up with God's will for us.
Below
we highlight what God tells us to say
about his Word.
-
Would you join me in repeating the Words of the Lord?
God's Word = The Bible

Saturday
We begin today with a verse from Proverbs.
In Proverbs 4:20-22
God says
to us,
My child,
give attention
to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not
let them depart from your eyes.
Keep
them
in the midst of your heart;
for
they are
LIFE
to those who find them,
and
health to all their flesh.

Today we will
highlight verses
that have not been highlighted.
Let's say these Psalm 119 sentences
OUT - LOUD.

My heart stands in Awe of your Word.
161
I want to be taught your Word.
135
The wicked are far from your laws.
150
You rebuke those
who wander away from your commandments.
21
I will
remind myself
that -
Sin has consequences.
I am afraid of your judgments
because there are consequences to going against God's Word.
120
A verse from Proverbs
Proverbs 3:11 ERV
says,
My son, don't reject the Lord's discipline,
and don't be angry when he corrects you.
Consider:
God set up this world to work according to his Word.
So if we go against his Word, we will have consequences.
Let's stir ourselves up to LOVE God's Word!
Last
Highlighted Verse
AMPC Version of verse 146
I cried to You; save me,
that I may keep Your testimonies
[ hearing, receiving, loving, and obeying them ].
Please...
Consider
taking this
5 - day journey
again and again.
Allow God
to renew your mind through your intentional repetition.
Allow God
to set your heart on the things of God.
And
Teach Your Children to Love God's Word.
If you haven't taught your children before -
apologize and work on it now.
Your humble obedience to God
is the Best Example
you could give your children.
Show them
HOW
to change when God speaks "change" to their heart.
Why not - text your teenager Bible verses ?
Why not text the teens in your church Bible verses?
(With permission from your church & their parents.)
Why not text your grown child Bible verses?
Find unique ways
of
adding Scripture into the lives of those you love.
Amen

A lady at a printing company told me recently
that her mom
often texted her Bible verses.
She said that she was very proud to have a mom like that.
Thank you, God
for your Word.
