Explaining the Gospel to people who do not know
the Old Testment very well.
6 minute power - packed video.

Introduction:
Yeshua
is the Hebrew word for Jesus.
Torah
is the Jewish word for the first 5 books of the Bible.
Tanakh
is the word
Jews use for what Christians call
the
Old Testament.
So
to call their Tanakh
- the Old Testament -
rubs many of them the wrong way
because
we are implying
that there is a " New Testament "
and
they do not believe in the New Testament.
-
To move them toward the New Testament
is easier when we show respect to them.
First Video
The first video presented
is done by
a
Jew who now believes Jesus is Messiah.
He
has been praying
for his father to receive Jesus.
This video is announcing the Good News!
Before we continue...
It is helpful to keep in mind that -
The New Testament
is profoundly a Jewish book.
-
It was written by all Jewish men except maybe Luke.
I heard the following sentence
from
Rabbi Robert Solomon
who believed Jesus is Messiah
and
wanted to convert other Jews.
" The New Testament was written by
good old Jewish boys."

It is helpful
to emphasize
the Jewishness
of
The New Testament,
-
This page will help you with that.

Second Video
Jewish prophecy
reveals
Jesus as Messiah.
Current Jews
have been taught very little about the
New Testament.
Most have been taught
one or two main reasons
why
they should avoid the New Testament.

Third Video
The following video
refutes
some of those reasons.
This video might be a good one to share
with Jews
who are open to watching a video.
Understanding
the Jewishness of Jesus
and the Jewishness of the New Testament
helps Jews
to be more open
to
learning about
Jesus
whose Hebrew name is
Yeshua
which means
Salvation..

Next
I want to introduce you to -
Messianic Jewish Congregations
which
are Jewish "churches"
that believe
that Jesus is the Jewish Messiah.
Further down I am
presenting
a helpful
sermon video
from a
Messianic Congregation.
Before I do,
I will let that
Rabbi
introduce you to his congregation.
Below
is
Video FIVE
This is a helpful video
for you to watch
to gain knowledge
and
for you to share
with Jews
when appropriate.
It is a sermon
given at
Beth Hallel
Messianic Jewish congregation.

I would start the sermon
at
1 hour 21 minutes
which
is right after
an introductory story
that I believe most of you will not find helpful.
I have written notes
from the sermon
below
the video.
Video FIVE
is a
sermon
to help
Jewish people and Gentiles
reach out to unsaved Jews.
The first verse is Romans 9:4 TLV
Paul
is speaking to Gentiles about the Jewish people.
" To them " - means the Jewish people.
Go to
1 hour 21 minutes.
Sharing the Gospel with Jews
Here are some important verses that
the
Rabbi
highlighted.
Here is
the Romans 4 Scripture.
I have included the verses before it.
This is the Tree of Life version
Take note that
Ruach ha - Kodesh is Hebrew for Holy Spirit.
I tell the truth in Messiah—I do not lie, my conscience assuring me in the
Ruach ha-Kodesh—
2 that my sorrow is great and the anguish in my heart unending.
3 For I would pray that I myself were cursed, banished from Messiah for the sake of my people—my own flesh and blood,
4 who are Israelites. To them belong
the adoption and the glory and the covenants and the giving of the Torah and the Temple service and the promises.
5 To them belong the patriarchs—and from them,
according to the flesh,
the Messiah,
who is over all, God, blessed forever.
Amen.

Paul is telling the people
that the covenants,
the Torah,
the temple service
and the promises
belong to the Jewish people.
The New Testament is profoundly a Jewish book.
The NEW Covenant
was
prophesied
in the
Old Covenant.
See the Scripture below.

Jeremiah 31:30 Tree of Life version
Note - Adonai is Hebrew for Lord.
“Behold, days are coming”
— it is a declaration of Adonai —
“when I will make a new covenant
with
the house of Israel
and with
the house of Judah —
31 not like the covenant
I made with their fathers
in the day I took them by the hand
to
bring them out of the land of Egypt.
For they broke My covenant,
though
I was a husband to them.”
it is a declaration of Adonai.
32 “But this is the covenant I will make
with the house of Israel after those days”
— it is a declaration of Adonai —
“I will put My Torah within them.
Yes,
I will write it on their heart.
I will be their God
and they will be My people.

Rabbi Kevin said
You do not have to decode this.
God
told them
that
he is giving the Jewish people - a new covenant.
Jesus said
he was called to the House of Israel.
Matthew 15:24 NKJV
Jesus said,
“I was not sent
except to
the lost sheep of the house of Israel.”
The New Covenant
was not given to the Gentiles.
The New Covenant
was given to the Jews
to
spread to the world.
The beginning of the church was done by the Jews.

Video Six
Sharing the Gospel with Jews
Here are some
Jews
who follow Jesus,
presenting Jesus to Jews.

Video Seven
Consider that -
Some people are
Jewish
but
know nothing about the Old Testament.
The video below
is helpful for
Jews who do not know the basics
and -
for all people who want to understand
the basics of Christianity.
Disclaimer:
I know nothing about the video speaker above. I am only recommending this video.

God gave Moses 7 feasts to celebrate.
These are the 7 main feasts of the Jews:
Passover
Feast of Unleavened Bread
First Fruits
Pentecost
Feast of Trumpets
Yom Kippur
Feast of Tabernacles
1. Passover – Lev. 23 beginning in verse 5.
2. Unleavened Bread – Lev. 23:6-8 (eat unleavened bread for 7 days)
3. First Fruits - Lev. 23:10-11 (New Testament - the day Jesus rose from the dead.)
4. Pentecost = Feast of Weeks = Shavu’ot – Lev. 23:16-17 – (Celebrates God giving the people the Torah) And - Book of Acts chapter 2 – this was the day when tongues of fire came over the believers in Jesus & they spoke in other languages
5. Feast of Trumpets = Rosh Hashanah = Yom Teru’ah Lev. 23:24 - This year it started on the evening of September 18, 2020. It began the Jewish Year 5781.
6. Yom Kippur = Day of Atonement - Lev. 23:27-32 (the evening of September 27, 2020) The holiest day of the Jewish year. Repentance emphasized.
7. Feast of Tabernacles = Sukkot = Feast of Booths – Lev. 23:34-36 and 39-43 / Deut. 16:13 This is a time of celebrating before the Lord in a temporary "booth" or "dwelling" that you have fun making.
And later came
Jesus actually celebrated Hanukkah.
Consider our page on the Future Jewish temple.
And our page on the Millennium Temple.
