Senior Citizen Prayers

First -

Prayer for Health

Dear Lord,

I come before you with

thanksgiving

for your goodness to me,

and

praise

for how merciful

you are.

In my senior years, 

I ask you

to

give me

wisdom,

protection, provision, and peace. 

Lord,

I come before you and ask you to bless my health. 

My body

has changed

and

does not respond as it used to.

Guide me

toward the information that I need for my health. 

Help me

to make good medical decisions. 

Thank you for doctors.

Doctors can be very helpful - 

 - even so - 

I am reminded that you are my primary doctor.

Thank you

for everything you are doing

to bless my health.

I pray in the Miraculous name of Jesus,

Amen

Senior Citizen Prayer -  for Family

Dear Lord,

You are my God, and I dedicate my life to you.

You are my lighthouse to guide me and my strong tower to protect me. 

It is in you that  - I live, and move, and have my very being.

I lift up prayer for my family. 

I pray that

all my loved ones

would put you in the center of their life.

I pray that they will experience

the same

joy and dedication

that I have for you. 

Open their eyes

to see how wonderful you are.

Open their ears

to hear your words of love.

Open their heart

to the wonders of your Scriptures.

In Matthew 9:38,

you tell us to pray to you

to

send out laborers

into the field of this world

to bring the good news to our loved ones.

Lord,

I pray for laborers to be sent

to speak

words to my loved ones.

I pray your laborers will speak

to them

words of encouragement,

words of the value of your Scriptures,

and

words about your

Amazing Love. 

Father,

I pray that this will be the year

that all my loved ones

will come

to

love you and live for you

each day.

I lift up to you  - thankfulness and praise.

You are worthy of my continual thanks and praise.

I pray in the Wondrous name of Jesus,

Amen
