Scripture Wednesday

Monday

First we celebrate

The Joy of Loving the Lord....

This Psalm begins

"I love the Lord."

Psalm 116:1-2 KJV

I love the Lord,

because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me,

therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

Below is a

beautiful song

with the message of

Love to God.

As you know,

when you love God,

certain thoughts

will stir up

the emotions and feelings of

that

Love.

We see this in Psalm 116.

The psalmist

is thinking thoughts of how

God

rescued him

from death,

and those thoughts

have stirred up feelings of strong love

for God.

Psalm 116

Scripture Song

And

Psalm 116

is a joyfully proclamation

 of how

God rescued him.

We see a similar proclamation

from David

in Psalm 18 verse 16,

see below.

The psalmist of Psalm 116

tells us

that even though it looked like he would die,

he still had

FAITH

in God's power

and he continued to pray for God's rescue.

In verse 13

of

Psalm 116,

"I will take the cup of salvation,

and call upon the name of the Lord."

Here,

the psalmist celebrates...

that he was able to drink the cup of salvation

from the difficulty he was in.

Message Tuesday

Tuesday

Today,

we have a message on Psalm 116.

The Joy of Answered Prayer

Scripture Wednesday

Wednesday

The more you believe in

Prayer

the more you pray.

The more you believe in the

Power of Scripture

the more you speak it out.

I believe therefore have I spoken.

Psalm 116:10

Verse 10

highlights this by saying

"I believed therefore have I spoken."

Reflection on Prayer from verse 10:

Am I strong in my belief

that

praying makes a difference?

Reflection on Faith:

How do I increase my strength and faith in God

when I am going through difficult times?

Verse 12

What shall I give to the Lord

for all he has done for me?

?

Let's give our Heavenly Father

our obedience

as a gift from our heart.

Psalm 116

I love the Lord, because he hath heard my voice and my supplications.

Because he hath inclined his ear unto me, therefore will I call upon him as long as I live.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the pains of hell gat hold upon me: I found trouble and sorrow.

Then called I upon the name of the Lord; O Lord, I beseech thee, deliver my soul.

Gracious is the Lord, and righteous; yea, our God is merciful.

The Lord preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the Lord hath dealt bountifully with thee.

For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living.

10 I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

12 What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?

13 I will take the cup of salvation, and call upon the name of the Lord.

14 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

15 Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints.

16 O Lord, truly I am thy servant; I am thy servant, and the son of thine handmaid: thou hast loosed my bonds.

17 I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord.

18 I will pay my vows unto the Lord now in the presence of all his people.

19 In the courts of the Lord's house, in the midst of thee, O Jerusalem. Praise ye the Lord.
