Summer Prayers 

for my

Teens

Refreshing Prayers

to pray

Heavenly Father,

I lift up my teens to you in prayer.

I pray that they become more aware of your presence

throughout their day.

I pray that they will grow closer to you every day.

I ask you

to bring them

insights

that will strengthen

their relationship with you.

Make them more aware

of the

advantages

of

choosing you

as their best friend.

I pray these things in Jesus' loving name,

God of Abundant Joy,

Thank you for splashes of lemon juice to flavor our drinks.

Thank you for splashes of laughter to flavor our days.

I pray that my teens will enjoy splashes of laughter every day.

Heavenly Father,

I lift up my teenagers to you in prayer.

Guide my teens today

as a shepherd guides his sheep.

Whisper to them your instructions.

Surround them with your protections.

I pray that each one will yield to you

as you gently direct them.

Lord of Spectacular Love,

Thank you for my teens.

I lift them up in prayer today.

May they become more aware of the

mind-blowing blessings of following you closely.

May they become more aware of the incredible value of following you closely.

May them become more aware of the powerful protection of following you closely. 

May they become more aware of the future joys that come from following you closely.

Remind them of things they know about you, so they can re-think and ponder them for inspiration.

Awaken them to things that they do not know, but they need to know.

I pray that their faith in you will increase

and their focus on worldly things will decrease. 

Bless my teens in ways

that will surprise and delight them.

May they see your hand of goodness in their life

and realize that it is you

 - and your enormous love for them - 

that is blessing them.

God of Mercy and Love,

I lift up prayer for my teens.

I ask you to

protect my teens. 

Move people into their life

and

move people out of their life

so that

they will be protected and blessed.

Draw them toward friends who love you and honor you.

I pray that they will enjoy being in the company

of people who are dedicated to you.

And I pray that they will feel uncomfortable

being with

ungodly people doing ungodly things.

When they face decisions,

wise thoughts.

yield to its advice.

Merciful Lord,

I come to your throne room of grace to ask you to

bless my teenagers.

Whisper to them

the wisdom

making strategies 

against temptations.

Make them more aware

of their

weaknesses

and

what triggers their unique sin patterns.

Draw them

toward Scriptures

that

motivate them and strengthen them

to obey you.

May they feel

Powerful and Courageous

and heroic

when they think about

Standing Strong and Resisting Wrong.

I pray these things, in Jesus' Name,

strategies for handling temptations

It is very difficult to be a faithful Christian right now.

 I would not want to be a teenager today.

Heavenly Father,

Teenagers today

have a much greater amount of

pressure and challenges

than I ever had.

I pray that you would help the teens

represented by those adults praying these prayers

to be able to

bravely choose

godly living

in this day of trouble.

Give them wisdom and strength

to live victoriously in this difficult day.

In Jesus' Powerful Name I pray,
