More Tuesday Thoughts:

Thanksgiving and Praise

are

important parts

of our

relationship with the Lord.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~

One of the best ways

to improve

our walk with God

is

through

increasing our gratitude

toward him.

Let your lives

overflow

with joy

and thanksgiving

for all God has done.

Col 2:7 b TLB

Wednesday

Gratitude

makes life sweeter.

Wednesday mini-devotional material:

*  Consider thanking God for something that you have never thanked God for.

*  Consider saying this proclamation:

I will create

a lifestyle of thankfulness.

Oh give thanks to the Lord,

for He is good!

For His mercy endures forever.

Let the redeemed of the Lord say so.

Psalm 107:1-2a NKJV

Thursday

Thankfulness brings greater joy!

My lips will

shout for joy

when I sing praise to you -

I, whom you have redeemed.

Psalm 71:23

~ ~ ~

Psalm 35:27-28 AMP

says...

" Let those who favor my righteous cause

and

have pleasure in my uprightness

shout for joy

and be glad and say continually,

"Let the Lord be magnified,

Who takes pleasure

in the prosperity of His servant."

And my tongue

shall talk of

Your righteousness,

rightness,

and

justice,

and of  [my reasons for]

Your praise all the day long. "

Thankfulness to God

displays

an understanding of

God's goodness.

Friday

Consider putting

extra love

in your holiday season.

Give your loved ones

something

to be thankful for!

Holiday Tips:

** Express your love.

Don't put off

telling your loved ones how important they are to you.

** Give encouragement.

Speaking words of encouragement

can bring needed refreshment

to the

tired and discouraged.

Weekend Devotionals

A Highlighted Bible Verse

for our weekend is:

I will praise the Lord

no matter

what

happens.

I will constantly speak

of

glories and grace.

I boast of

all his kindness to me.

Let all who are discouraged take heart.

Let us praise the Lord together,

and exalt his name.

Psalm 34:1-3 TLB

A Thanksgiving Bible Study

Thanksgiving and Praise

are important parts

of our relationship with the Lord.

As I have studied the Bible, I have noticed that it contains several prayer patterns. This devotional will share the pattern contained in Psalm 100.

"Enter into His gates with thanksgiving,

and into His courts with praise.

Be thankful to Him and bless His name."

Psalm 100:4

The prayer pattern in

Psalm 100

is thankfulness and then praise.

Since I found that pattern,

I sometimes use it in prayer.

I begin my prayer with thanking God.

For example:

I thank God for my home and my family.
I thank him
for the
sicknesses and physical conditions
that he has healed me from.
I thank him
for the good things
he has placed in my life.
I thank him for the promises in the Bible.

THEN

I praise God.

For example, I say:

"I praise you for you are the Almighty God.

I praise you for you are merciful and kind.

I praise you for you are Jehovah Rapha –

the God who heals.

I praise you for you are the

King of Kings and the Lord of Lords."

After I have thanked God for what

he has

already done

and

I have praised him for who he is,

then

my focus is on

how

Loving, Kind, and POWERFUL

God is.

~

I find that my mind

is

now prepared

to believe that God can and that he will

answer my prayer requests.

This pattern has reduced my doubts and

increased my faith.

Following this prayer pattern:

When I first give thanks

and then

add praise to God,

I find that as I give my requests to God,

I am filled with

a greater confidence

that

he will

take care of my every need.

You might want to try this

"Thanksgiving Bible study prayer pattern"

for

yourself.

As we look through the Bible,

we can discover many prayer patterns that will

enrich our prayer life.

Amen
