Stopping the devil's plans for

our day & our life

We need to find out

what the devil is up to and HOW to stop him!

The devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy.

He and his demons come

to hurt and harm YOU!

The devil

comes to

steal, kill, and destroy

your

relationships,

peaceful emotions,

health,

clear thinking,

finances,

integrity,

and

your ministry of serving others,

and anything else he can!

Let's look at the

strategies the devil uses

to hurt us.

Then

we can more easily

ruin 

his plans.

When we understand what the devil wants

and

when we ponder how the things he wants

will hurt us -

we

become

more motivated to ruin his plans.

Let's remind ourselves

what

the devil   loves to see   in our life.

Let's remind ourselves

what

he   wants to create   in our life.

Anger,

Selfishness,

Strife,

Disobedience to God,

Envy,

Coldness toward others,

Greed,

Lusting after material things and after sexual ungodliness,

Lack of Forgiveness to others,

Lack of Repentance to God.

When we

see

more clearly

what

the devil wants for our life,

we

get more

motivated

to stop him. 

And

we

see the need

to teach our children

to

STOP

him.

A key to success

is

reading the Bible

each day.

Reading the Bible

programs our mind

to make wise choices.

God says to us -

"My child, give attention to my words."

Proverbs 4:20

"My child, give attention to my words;

incline your ear to my sayings.

Do not let them depart from your eyes.

Keep them in the midst of your heart.

For they are life

to those who find them,

and

health

to all their flesh."

Proverbs 4:20-22

God's Words can significantly bless us

if we read them regularly with a teachable heart.

The above scripture about 

Trust

is from Proverbs 3:5.

It teaches us to

trust God's word

even when the world doesn't agree with God's word.

God wants us to lean on his Word.

But...

Satan wants you to lean on your

own

understanding.

And

Satan wants you to lean on

your

emotions.

Satan wants you to lean on

your

human reasoning.

Satan wants you to lean on

your

experiences.

Satan wants you to lean on

what your

friends say.

Satan wants you to lean on

what the popular media says.

BUT

The Bible teaches us that....

We trust in Christ ALONE!

Jesus IS the Word of God.

In some mysterious and wonderful way,

Jesus IS the Word of God.

Beware of Dangers to your Soul

"The world"

is a term that refers to

people on the earth who function apart from God.

These people are NOT actively resisting the devil.

The devil uses

these people 

and the world systems that the devil is guiding -

as a

gigantic pressure push to us

toward sin.

The world

tries to influence you to think like the devil.

The world

tries to influence you to act like the devil.

The world

pressures you to do what the devil wants.

BUT 

God says...

"Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world,

but let

God transform you into a new person

by

changing the way you think.

Then

you will learn to know God’s will for you,

which is

good and pleasing and perfect."

Romans 12:2 NLT version 

The world systems

come to

discourage you, pull you down,

bring you hopelessness & fear.

Rise up against all that.

Spend time with Christians

who

praise God,

have a thankful, joyful attitude,

and have a

thriving godly mentality.

Spend time with Christians

who

humbly admit their sins,

and who

joyfully celebrate their POWERFUL Savior!

In your time of difficulty,

don't lose your focus....

continue to focus on God.

God knows HOW to strengthen you.

Here is our

Full Armor of God Prayer

Mighty God of all Creation,

Today I will put on your Amazing Armor.

I put on the Helmet of Salvation.

I will proclaim the Saving Power of my Lord!

I put on the Belt of Truth.

I will proclaim to the world that your Word is TRUTH!

I put on the Breastplate of Righteousness.

I will proclaim to my Savior
that Righteous Living will reign in me this day!

I put on the Shoes of Peace.

I will proclaim in my mind
the
blessings of living
in peace
with God and with His Word!

I pick up the Shield of Faith.

I will raise my Shield
and
proclaim my Faithful devotion to God
each time
the devil
tries to tempt me to disobey God.

I pick up the Sword of the Spirit
which is the Word of God.

I will raise my Sword
and
proclaim the Words of God
out-loud
when trials and trouble
come my way!

Philippians 4:13 tells me,
“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Habakkuk 3:19 tells me,
“The Lord is my STRENGTH.”

Ephesians 6:10 tells me to,
“Be Strong in the Lord and the Power of His Might!”

Joshua 1:9 tells me to,
“Be Strong and Courageous
for the
Lord
will be with me always!”

James 4:7 tells me to,
“Submit to God,
resist the devil, and he will flee from me!”

God reminds me in Romans 8:31,
“If God is for me, who can be against me?”

Today,
I will stand up
and be
BOLD, STRONG, and COURAGEOUS.

I will choose God’s ways
-  and -
 I will reject the devil’s ways.

I pray these things

in

Jesus’ POWERFUL name,

AMEN!

Pressure people to Assimilate into the world.

Pressure Christians to feel ashamed of the Gospel.

Satan influences people to

Water down the Gospel

Create less black and white morality - and more gray

( The devil likes confusion. )

Satan influences people to

Make sin less important

For example - associate sin with things like a great dessert

JESUS

paid a HUGE price for our sins.

Satan

wants to take the word "sin" and re-define it. 

The devil influences people

to make the word

"sin"

equal to the words

delicious or irresistible.

is our Strength.

tells us that  -

Pleasure is the Path to Joy

Satan

encourages

mockery of the Bible and Christians.

not only

plays with re-defining sin,

but it also

mocks the Bible and Christians.

This commercial also 

mocks the Bible.

The sweet dessert is "Peter's Heaven Ice Cream."

They call it "Heaven" and say....

"It's a sin."

So Heaven's a sin?

And perhaps even the name "Peter" was to mock the disciple.

to shut down godly conviction of sin.

That Bible verse is the most well - known Bible verse today.

Satan has taken it and twisted it

to mean something very different than God intended.

Satan wants you to follow the crowd.

Use your cell phone to distract you

every time you think about

praying or reading the Bible.

Damage your Integrity

The devil tempts you to trade your integrity

for something which is far less valuable.

For example...

When I was a teenager, I loved to go to the movies.

The price of a ticket for a teenager was 25 cents more than the ticket for a child.

After I turned 13, I noticed that some of my friends traded their integrity for 25 cents.

I actually thought those words at the time. Yes, I was an unusual teen! Nevertheless, what I thought was true...
Some people will trade their integrity for a quarter.

Most people do not value integrity

in others or themselves.

Sad.  

Are there times when you give away your integrity?

would be a good day to start fresh and

value

your integrity even more than you ever have previously.

Re-define the word

" love "

The devil wants us to define love as

approval.

The devil wants you to believe

that it is unloving

to tell people TRUTH that they don't want to hear.

The devil wants you to believe that

love is -

approving of another person's thoughts, perspectives,

and choices.

Satan wants you to avoid thinking for yourself.

He wants you to avoid

taking

your thoughts and comparing them to the Bible.

PROCLAIM

because I serve

Amazing God!

God is

Teaching me, Training me, Guiding me,

CHAMPION!

God wants us to cultivate -

a heart of

prayer, repentance, obedience, service to others,

devotion to God's Word, 

and a heart that repels unnecessary strife.

Thoughts on Strife

Repelling strife - Some people like to stir up strife. Many enjoy getting involved with an exhilarating argument. But God -  calls us to reduce strife not inflame strife. We must choose to be obedient.

Other people dislike strife so much that they will view Bible verses against strife and conflict as a license to never confront someone who needs to be confronted. But God - sometimes calls us to confront. We must choose to be obedient.
