A Prayerful Conversation
with God
after reading and thinking about
Isaiah 60:1
Dear Lord,
I will arise each day and let my light shine.
Show me how to follow you closely each day.
I want to bless people
by shining my light
in a way
that easily displays
The Presence of God
in my life.
Your presence includes -
The Peace of God
The Joy of God
And
The Power of God -
to overcome
obstacles and temptations.
I will remove from my mouth - ungodly speech.
I will remove from my heart - ungodly attitudes.
Remind me
to yield to your quiet voice each day.
I will pray as Jesus did - " Thy will - be done. " **
I shall be as clay in the hands of you
my Lord and my Potter.
I repent of all my sins.
I reject ungodliness.
I let go of all anger, unforgiveness, and ungodly stubbornness.
I will fall in love with the
Fruit of the Spirit.
I will allow those fruits to flow through me freely.
I will learn to love the Fruit of my Lord.
Father,
I dedicate myself to showing
love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness,
faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. **
Help me keep my thoughts on you so that I may walk in harmony with you.
I pray these things in the Life - Transforming name of Jesus Christ,
Amen
