The Devil is Calling

The devil is calling; please help me be strong. For what he is asking my heart knows is wrong.

He plays on my fears as he calls out my name.
But in his hands my life is naught but a game.

So why do I listen to what I know is untrue.
When I know what he wants is to take me from You.

He tempts me with pleasures and lures me with lies.
I am calling you, Lord, please hear my cries.

Give me the strength, Lord, to just walk away, though my heart is afraid of the price it must pay.

Remind me, dear Lord, he makes his lies appear real.
And if I give in, it's my soul he will steal.

I'm asking you, Lord, because I know I am weak. It's your guidance, your strength, and your love that I seek.

Answer me quickly I need you to win.
And strengthen me, Lord, for when he comes knocking again.
