Cowboy Prayer

This Cowboy Prayer page is written

for those who have a deep love

for the Cowboy way of life and

want to thank God for the blessings

he has given them.

Psalm 100 says,

"Enter into his gates with thanksgiving,

and into his courts with praise."

~ ~ ~

Dear Lord,

I come before you to enter into prayer

with thanksgiving and praise to you.

Dear Lord,

Remember when I was a child,

And all I wanted for Christmas was cowboy boots and a cowboy hat.

Remember how I spent my dreams riding horses and seeing myself speeding headlong into the glorious warm wind of a bright summer day.

As a young child, I placed my heart in among horses and among the cowboy way of doing things.

Lord, you’ve given me my dreams.

You’ve placed my destiny within western ways.

I come today to remember your goodness to me.

I thank you for not only giving me a cowboy destiny, but a heavenly destiny as well.

I pledge my love and dedication to you this day as I thank you for the joys you have put in my life.

Highlighted Scripture

Delight yourself also in the Lord,
And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 NKJV

Dear Merciful Lord,

Psalm 37 tells me to delight myself in you, and you will give me the desires of my heart.

Thank you, Lord, that even though I have not done a good job of delighting myself in you, I have been blessed to receive the desires of my heart.

Today I come to make a commitment to do a better job of delighting in you.

I want to daily delight in you.

I want to please you and draw close to you.

You are the most important thing to me, and I am going to act like it.

I realize you are reaching out to me, today, to draw me closer.

Watch, Lord, as I delight in you this day!

The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man
availeth much.

James 5:16 KJV

Dear Lord,

Thank you for the power of prayer.

Thank you that my prayers lasso the power of God.

My prayers are energized by the very Holy Spirit that produced this world.

Grant me a new, fresh season of prayer in my life.

May my prayers be spoken containers that hold the essence of your heart.
